How does the drum filter work?
NinjaSieve Rotary Drum Filter 4T10-1 (RDF) effectively filters out fish food residues, sewage, fish waste, algae and debris, helping to clean the fish pond water and greatly reducing the maintenance stress on the biochemical filtration module; the maximum water flow rate of the filter is 1500 l/h. There is a sewage receiving trough inside the drum, the fish pond water flows into the filter through the inlet pipe, the impurity particles in the water are separated through the 74 μm screen , and the nozzles sprays the impurities attached to the sieve down to sewage receiving trough, which is discharged by the sewage pipe.
The device is equipped with a liquid float switch, when the water level sensor detects a change in the water level, it will send a signal to the controller to start the cleaning program, the backwash frequency is determined by the degree of water contamination, but the controller will automatically flush the screen every hour, the drum will rotate at the same time as the flushing, and the time for each flushing is 20 seconds.
In addition, cleaning time and frequency can also be customized by the user.
It is normal to have a high backwash frequency at the beginning of use, and the backwash frequency will be lowered after the water quality is improved, lower backwash frequency means cleaner water.
